Dress the PNM.

Rush starts in exactly one week and the only thing I'm worried about (besides the entire process, really...) is what to wear on the fourth and fifth days if I make it that far. I have quite a few dresses but I've narrowed it down to three. So, if anyone wants to give their opinion on which of these three I should wear on these two days then I would really appreciate it. (:

Here's what the recruitment book says about each day:
Fourth day, Third Round: Dresses, skirt outfits, dressy sandals
Fifth day, Preference: A dress that you would wear to a wedding reception.

Note: I am dying to wear number three!

I am dying to wear number three too but my bodacious butt is saying "nuh-uh, not even happening, walk away."

If you have the same problem, I recommend the same solution.

#2 looks good for the 3rd round becuase of the material, the other 2 would probably be more appropriate for Pref.

2 or 3 for 4th round and 1 for pref, but slap some fashion tape on that bodice so it doesn't require any hiking!

Thank you both. I'll definitely be taping myself into all of these...it makes me wish I had the assets to keep them up, sigh.

LOVE #3 - pref material, in my opinion.

please make sure that you feel comfortable enough in any of the dresses so that you are not tugging at the bodice to reposition yourself.

take all 3 dresses with you and ask some of your recruitment counselors or fellow pnms their opinions.

I vote #2 for the earlier round and #3 (LOVE!!) for pref.

A friend of mine has #1, and while it's pretty, it doesn't have a ton of structure to it and might be a pain to wear. It also looks a bit short on you. If I remember correctly, it has detachable straps, right? If you decide to wear it, consider including the straps because they will help with the fit issues in the top part Also safety pins are your friends!! And a great strapless bra of course.

I think this is what I'm going to do. You're right, number one is hard to keep up and mine didn't have straps so it'd be annoying/awkward to pull it up the entire time.

I have a few more dresses that I'll take with me in case of emergency (mine or someone else's). I'll make sure to be approved by my gamma chi! Thank you all.

This is one of the sweetest things I have ever read on this forum. Most PNMs are so worried about their own rush clothes, the last thing they bother to think about is if someone else might have a dress issue.

33girl, you took the words out of my mouth. wildcass, that is a really great attitude to bring to college with you. Whether you join a sorority or not, I bet you will be a good friend.

I love them all, I have number 3 and I would vote on that one. Just make sure that it fits right when you sit and get back up, for some reason I would always have to adjust it. Good luck!

33girl and Low C Sharp, you all are so sweet. I've bonded with so many girls over clothes and it's always nice having people to borrow from!

Dresses like number three always fold oddly when you sit down but I have a few with the same shape so I've almost mastered it. I'm just really excited to have somewhere to wear it--crossing my fingers that I get too of course.

I LOVE NUMBER 3.

It's SO cute. If you DO join a house...I guarantee there will be sisters knocking on your door for THAT dress.
