Ummm....DST in Princess Anne, MD...UMES

Hello all. I went through the previous links looking for answers, I found one link from 2005 that specifically related to this chapter, but nothing since. I am not sure what happened, but the Nu Rho chapter at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore is no longer active. It is a city wide chapter that also includes Salisbury University. Between these two universities, there isn't a Delta to speak of. I have gone to the National website in order to ascertain whether or not the chapter is suspended which is what I was told while I attended UMES. The chapter is not listed as suspended on a National level nor is it suspended on a campus level. I have now graduated, but my friends who still attend UMES are still wondering where DST has gone.....any sorority for that matter. I personally have been attempting to set up a rapport between myself and the Delta Sigma Theta grad chapter on the Eastern Shore, but I have sadly been unsuccessful. I have been told that the grad chapter is "...not interested in new interests at this time nor will they be in the near future." I have emailed. I have spoken with members and I have gone to websites with no luck. I would hate to move somewhere else in order to become a member because there is so much that needs to be done in this area, but I would move to Calcutta to become a member. Not joining wouldn't stop me from continuing my community service efforts, but it's always been my dream. I am just hoping that someone can help me get in contact with anyone who can help me out with the graduate chapter and help my other friends on the undergrad level.
