GreekClothing.com and reputation

Has anyone else used GreekClothing.com? They are horrible about getting orders out in the time frame you ordered them. I placed an order on July 29, 2009 and did not receive my merchandise until the first week of September! I paid for priority shipping. I contacted the individual that confirmed my order once I placed it, emailed the company address and called and left a message and I never got any reply from them. I received my merchandise which was just as I had ordered but the correspondence with the company and delivery was horrible. They advertise great specials but I would not trust them. What if you ordered your bid day shirts through them and did not get them until way after bid day, that would be pathetic. I would not recommend them to anyone!

I've used them. I liked them. I always got my stuff on time. It's pretty strange and unfortunate that your things were late. Is it possible that mid summer is a high-volume time for Greek companies? (early rush for several schools?)

Possibly? However, not getting in touch with me after I contacted them several times was not a good thing either. Especially when the website specifically says that if you leave a message, they will get back to you within a day or two. I never heard back from them. I understand recruitment is a busy season, however, they should have put a disclaimer saying "Due to the high volume of orders during recruitment season, we cannot guarantee such and such will be delivered in a timely manner" or something like that.

APhi, I agree that that's not ok. But I've always been happy in my transactions with them. We've done a lot of large-volume stitched letter orders and they've come pretty quickly. This fall I placed an order for 16 jerseys on September 1st and requested delivery by the 17th, but didn't pay any extra fee or anything. I never heard from them, so I emailed them asking when the shirts would arrive. They emailed back within a few days with an approximate date, and the shirts arrived on the 18th. I thought that was acceptable.

It's funny that you posted this, because I placed an order a few weeks ago, and was sent a UPS tracking number on 9/17, with an expected delivery date of 9/21. There's no tracking info in the system. I emailed them on wednesday and tried calling today and got a voicemail box is full message. I emailed them again after that and said if they didnt call me back soon I was going to dispute the charges with my CC company.

Irritates me....I've not had trouble with them until now.

Usually, when anyone orders at my school, they take forever to ship. The clothing always looks great, but it isn't actually shipped until like 4 weeks after I place the order.. and then it takes a week on top of that.

I had a horrible experience with them last year and very nearly didn't get my littles' gifts in time for bid day. When I called, the dude was rude and when I asked why their production time takes so much longer than somethinggreek (who has wonderful customer service and got my order to me in a reasonable amount of time) he said that maybe I should just go there instead and they didn't want me as a customer. Seriously.

Before we hung up, I told him that I would be telling every greek I know how I was treated and they shipped my order the very next day. Hah.

So...... my order from them came in this week and on one of my shirts, the lettering was crooked AND off-center.

WTF! Is this how I am repaid for my loyalty? LOL

I emailed customer service and haven't heard back yet.

Oh my goodness! Don't even get me started on greekclothing.com...I ordered $210 worth of merchandise on April 20, 2009...Guess what? I STILL have not received it, I have only received one thing out of the order and it is September 27th! It has been over 5 months...that is ridiculous! I have probably sent them about 30-35 e-mails over the 5 months asking when my merchandise is going to be sent and they never reply, their phone number doesn't work it always goes to voicemail which is usually full so you can't leave a message anyway. I could go on and on about this experiance but it would take forever. I will NEVER order from them ever again, I want a refund or my merchandise. I have even filed a complaint with the BBB that greekclothing.com never responded to...it sucks...

Just an update on what is going on with greekclothing.com and my order it is now December 27 and I still have not received my order that was placed on April 20. 8 months...are you kidding me?! That is completely unacceptable and I wish I could convince everyone to never use greekclothing.com ever again, I really think something needs to be done. I don't understand how they can just take my $210 and never send me anything and get away with it...They tried at one point to tell me I returned the merchandise (that I never received), however that makes no sense because if I had returned the merchandise why wouldn't they refund my money? Anyway, the last I heard from them was on October 16 when they told me that since it has been so long since the purchase date (which is completely their fault, since their phone is worthless and they hardly ever respond to my e-mails) well here is what they said,
"Due to the duration of time between now and the purchase date we can either offer you a check in the mail for 160.72 or I can offer a credit to the site for $185.00. We are very sorry for the confusion caused. That is never our intentions.

Obviously they don't care at all...anyway I replied saying "Well, it is not my fault that it has been so long since the purchase date. I have been e-mailing since the begining with little to no replies. And as you can see it has been almost 3 weeks since you have last e-mailed me so obviously this length of time has been caused by you. I would like a full refund back on my card. Why does it have to be in the form of a check?"


I don't trust a check because for all I know it will just bounce when I try to cash it, and since I never got the merchandise the first time, why would I want store credit?



The reply to that e-mail was only this "The card expired from the time you purchased. Banks don’t allow it. Sorry"


I happened to be on the phone with my bank and asked them if this was true, and they informed me that I could give the company my new card number and they could refund the money there, and they were able to call my bank if they wanted verification. I sent them an e-mail informing them of this and received no reply. Yesterday I sent them my 4th e-mail since their last reply in October. I doubt they will respond to it... I don't understand a company can get away with something like this. Especially since there are so many people with complaints just like mine or similar out there. There are 87 complaints against Greekclothing.com on the BBB and 63 of those complaints (including mine) were not responded to and are still unresolved. I think we should do something, I don't know what my next step should be. I tried disputing the charge with my credit card company in October but was denied since the length of time since the purchase was made had been so long. I am upset and out of $210. What can we do?!?!


Sorry for the long read btw! But this is a very important matter to me, and im sure many of you feel the same way!!

Anyway, anyone who reads this, please don't be fooled by their great prices! It is too big of a risk to take ordering from them!!!

I hate Greekclothing.com!!!! I have ordered from them before and they over charged me by $300.00. I decided to give them a second chance and I ordered something Sept.4 and I recieved and email from UPS saying that I would get my package on the 22nd and I never did.. I'm telling my whole greek community to never order from them!

I still havent received my order. I did finally get an email back from them, but it was very shady, and vague:

WTF? Yeah, I know it's a busy time of year, but you shouldnt send email notifications with UPS tracking details that say 'your item will ship on 9/17 and be delivered on 9/21', if that's not the case!

I'm not sure who I'll order from now. This makes me sad, because they were my favorite.
