Senior Associate Justice to Retire

John Paul Stevens, the senior Associate Justice of the Supreme Court is set to retire at the end of this session. What are the thoughts on Brother Steven's decision? I'm especially interested to hear MC thoughts.

Retirement may not be a bad idea for Associate Justice Stevens who has certainly put his time in. He's the 2nd oldest justice next to Oliver Wendall Holmes Jr. who retired at the age of 90 plus ten months. He'll certainly be remembered for his judicial philosophy and role in American society.
