Two New Mexico State fraternities involved in alcohol related incidents

SAE - With underage drinkers caught in school van with alcohol.
"NMSU police were called to the intersection of South Main and Hollyhock Ave just before 10 pm Friday after sheriff's officer pulled over a 15 passenger van they said ran a red light. When he contacted the drive, the sheriffs deputy said he could smell alcohol"

TKE members in beer bottle frat spat leads to arrest.
"a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at New Mexic
o State has been arrested for allegedly hitting a fraternity brother in the face with a beer bottle after having been confronted about throwing bottles from the roof of the fraternity house"

I will post the links a later. Can't do it from my phone. But the articles can be found at www.lcsun-news.com

What the hell? That has got to be the single most pointless and idiotic thing I've read all day. Cat food? Seriously?

This is something I don't get about hazing. Even barring all the legal and organizational troubles you face, why the hell would someone go through all the time and energy (and money) to cook up some weird stunt like this? It seems like any logical mind would conclude, at the very least, that normal pledge education is a lot easier.

Preston, Preston, Preston: I doubt that logic was being applied at all, and "mind" may be stretching things in this case, for that matter.

Of course, even waay back in high school I was the type of person who, sometimes silently, sometimes openly, countered the cliche motivational saying, "if a thing is worth doing it's worth doing well" with what I still think is a reasonable point: "then ask if it's worth doing!"

Surprisingly often it turns out that it's not worth doing.
