Help with two Greek words

Hi all,

I'm new to your forum and I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this question.

Could someone tell me if these are correct translations please?

ξενοδοχείο --> Hotel

σινεμά --> Cinema / Movie

Also, is there any other way to spell Hotel & Cinema / Movie in Greek?

Thanks in advance

Wrong kind of Greek message board. Not related to North American fraternities or sororities. Thread closed.

It's not the right board, but I still know some.

Yes, that is the correct translation. The first part of "ξενο", is where we get the word "xeno", such as "xenophobia". It means stranger. A hotel is a place to house strangers.

Correct as well, I believe.
