If you're asking about NPC (sorority) recruitment .. then no ... to pledge an NPC sorority you must be enrolled in the college or university where the NPC sorority chapter resides.

If you're asking about NPHC (and correct me if I'm wrong) .. then answer is yes, maybe. Some NPHC chapters are city-wide chapters and pull members from several schools in the same city.

To participate in Panhellenic recruitment, a woman must be a full-time student at the university where she plans on rushing.

For example: If I want to go through sorority recruitment at Ohio State, I have to be a full-time student at Ohio State. I can't be a full time student at Kent State.

What type of sorority is this (NPC, NPHC, NALFO)? The terms you are using are sending mixed signals.

"Recruitment" is not typically a term used by NPHC organizations. Anyway, your friend should look on the website for the sorority she wants to join and then contact whoever it says to contact. Or even call them.

One of your posts says recruitment, which is typical of NPC organizations. Your most recent post talks about city-wide chapters, which is typical of NPHC and NALFO organizations.

Just clearing it up in case someone wants to give some input.

ETA: Sen beat me to it.

NPHC orgs don't take students who are not pursuing a Bachelor's degree, to my knowledge. I know Alpha does not.
