I know that my sorority has a national minimum GPA, which all chapters must abide by, but I'm not sure if all NPCs do. Individual chapters can also hold their members to higher standards, if they so choose.
Also, the minimum GPA could be a 2.5, for example, and your GPA is at 2.8. But there are many other women who are also going through recruitment, and all of their GPAs are above a 3.0. It might be more difficult to receive a bid... but no one can say for sure. If a chapter holds personality, involvement in extra-curriculars, etc. above GPA, you might have a better chance than the other PNMs. It all depends.
If your GPA is above the minimum, you obviously have a chance to receive a bid, but no one here can tell you how good of a chance it actually is.
