Reader's Digest article about 12 SDT Alumnae
If you can find a RD to grab, there's a great story about twelve women "who used to (their words, not mine) be in a sorority" who come together annually to help people in the devastated area from Katrina.
I finally found out that they are members of SDT. But several times, they are mentioned as "former" members or that the "were sisters" then but not so much now. That part bugged me.
Aside from that, it's a good story. Well, if you look past the opening paragraph that described these women who would normally be getting their nails done rather than who they had become: women who help families in need by sending computers, school uniforms and needs to a particular family, and working with Habitat for Humanity to rebuild the family's home.
They did write that the women become the same "girls" they were when they met their freshman year of college, which was sweet. Anyone else catch this article?
