RUSTON, La. (AP) -- Tulane football players, who are staying at Louisiana Tech in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and members of Kappa Alpha fraternity are being investigated for a fight that occurred during a party at the frat house, Ruston police reported.
Police answered a 911 call Saturday night. They were told by fraternity members that Tulane players entered the fraternity house and became involved in an altercation. During the fight, two of the fraternity members and a female guest suffered minor injuries.

The alleged incident stems from a disagreement that started Friday night when a football player apparently tried to gain entrance into a Kappa Alpha "Bid Night" party. "Members of the KA fraternity advised him that it was a 'closed' party and that he needed to leave," Sgt. Curtis Hawkins said. "Tempers then flared and the individual reportedly became angry and left the area."
The next night football players allegedly entered the fraternity house and a fight started.
Ruston Police are currently working with Tech and Tulane officials to determine the details and identities of the participants. No charges were filed as of Tuesday.
KA faculty adviser Gary Stokley said he doubts arrests will be made. "It's a tricky situation," Stokley said. "We're a host to the Tulane football team and students from all over southern Louisiana. So it's an unfortunate situation."
Stokley said he spoke with Tulane football coach Chris Scelfo and all parties are "upset" about the situation. Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson said university officials will allow Tech to conduct its investigation and handle the situation internally.
"These Tulane student-athletes are visiting students at Louisiana Tech and will be held accountable by both institutions for their actions," Dickson said. "Both institutions set high standards of behavior for their students, and the high expectations and standards of both universities will serve as a guideline for us in dealing with this matter."
