I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and I must say, the natural beauty of oceans and mountains is unbeatable!

Thumbs up

Born & bred in the midwest, I am a west coaster @ heart. I can't get enough of the NW landscapes, I love the beach & I'm so laid back people often don't know how to react to me. Someday I hope to live out on the west coast.

Definately salmon and sushi and mountains and big evergreens and glacier lakes and the Pacific Ocean and a temperate climate.

Green. I love the green, and it's not the same anywhere else. As much as I love being in Pullman, the brown wheatfields do get to me after a while. Out here, they refer to the area as the Inland Northwest, but I think that it just means "that other side that is to brown to call itself the real northwest" I also love the fresh seafood, I think that we all get spoiled out here. I didn't know that salmon came in a can until a couple years ago! I just assumed everyone got it fresh like us!

Wait a minute, there is no winter in Vancouver! In fact, four seasons are the one thing I miss most about the Midwest.

If you believe that, then you should visit my Momma's house. We get snow up in the hills, sometimes to where the roads are impassable. It doesn't happen often, but it definitely does happen (say, every 5 years or so).

Sometimes you can skate on the lake out back too..(true story)

Getting snow enough to block the roads once every five years is NOT winter! Here in the Pacific NW, west of the mountains, we have two seasons: The most beautiful summer you'll ever see, and then a gray, rainy season which encompasses what in other places is fall, winter and spring.
