Being a West Coaster
What makes you proud about your region?
|
I like how Westerners are SOOOO laid back. It's so refreshing when I go out there!
|
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and I must say, the natural beauty of oceans and mountains is unbeatable!
|
Born & bred in the midwest, I am a west coaster @ heart. I can't get enough of the NW landscapes, I love the beach & I'm so laid back people often don't know how to react to me. Someday I hope to live out on the west coast. :)

Definately salmon and sushi and mountains and big evergreens and glacier lakes and the Pacific Ocean and a temperate climate. |
Green. I love the green, and it's not the same anywhere else. As much as I love being in Pullman, the brown wheatfields do get to me after a while. Out here, they refer to the area as the Inland Northwest, but I think that it just means "that other side that is to brown to call itself the real northwest" I also love the fresh seafood, I think that we all get spoiled out here. I didn't know that salmon came in a can until a couple years ago! I just assumed everyone got it fresh like us!

Wait a minute, there is no winter in Vancouver! In fact, four seasons are the one thing I miss most about the Midwest.

Sometimes you can skate on the lake out back too..(true story) |
Getting snow enough to block the roads once every five years is NOT winter! Here in the Pacific NW, west of the mountains, we have two seasons: The most beautiful summer you'll ever see, and then a gray, rainy season which encompasses what in other places is fall, winter and spring.
