What should I do???

I know this would be better under Careers but I think I'll get a better response here...

My boss at my internship (which I completed this summer) was just fired today while I was at the radio station visiting.

What should I do? I graduate in May with a degree in Communication. Should I apply for the Promotions Director position? Would it be rude to do that to my former boss? Should I just send my resume as if nothing happened?

The station manager had asked if I wanted to work part time over the summer, but never mentioned anything full time, even though there is a sales position open. HELP!

ADVICE, PLEASE!!!
