(Not sure if this belongs here or Greek History)
I was reading the wikipedia page for Delta Sigma Theta and noticed the following phrase in description of the conflict for those who split from Alpha Kappa Alpha
Quote:
They felt Alpha Kappa Alpha was solely a female derivative of the Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity with no individual meaning and were not "Greek distinctive" letters.

The phrase "Greek Distinctive" stood out at me and I starting looking through for Social Fraternities and Sororities where their Greek Letters aren't "Greek Distinctive" (no Greek Letters that are obviously not Latin Letters)
The NPHC has only one (the previously mentioned AKA), The NPC has only one (ZTA) and the NIC has six (AXP, KAOrder, KASociety, NAK, TKE and ZBT)
Has anyone seen any particular effects (other than apparently being part of DST's founding) from a lack of a "Greek Distinctive" letter?
