iTunes and user account problem

I had to create an extra account on my laptop, an HP. For years I only had an administrative account that was locked so no one could get on my computer at home. My mom's laptop went down and she wanted to use mine so instead of erasing all my stored passwords, I made a new windows account. (I hope I'm using the right termonology) So that I could give her a limited account on my computer, I had to assign an administrative account. I did so, expecting that nothing would change. I had to redo all my programs and copy all my files from my administrative folder to my new account's folder. Everything transferred ok except my iTunes songs, which I just learned. I tried to open my iTunes and all of my music is gone. I can't pull up my Windows administrative account anymore so have I lost all my iTunes music? I had over 500 songs.

I've had a problem where songs haven't popped up. Itunes customer service does (at least they did) have a record of all the songs you have purchased. What little I know about computers, it seems like the music should be there somewhere, it's just a matter of finding it. I would suggest giving Itunes customer service a call on Monday and see what they can do to help you.

The music should all be on the hard drive, they just don't show up for different users. They are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\<Username.. the admin account you're not using>\My Documents\My Music\Itunes

You can copy the contents of that whole folder to your new My Documents\My Music\Itunes folder.

The main thing that's important is that the computer is authorized to your Itunes account. When you try to listen to one of the songs you copied over, it might tell you that it's not authorized but it will give you the option to authorize it by logging in to Itunes with your aol/apple account username and password, the one you have to put in when you buy songs.

I had a problem logging into my iTunes and then once I logged in, it keep prompting me to update my info. I eventually got aggravated and just got my music elsewhere

I copied all my files over but the $60 worth of songs I've bought on there are gone .
