I guess for now they’ll stay in that swing house until something happens. Via the last grade report they have 215 members compared to the 400 ranger that the other houses have, and they got 82 new members compared to the 100’s the others got.

A Purdue sophomore fraternity member told me yesterday that Purdue is pushing Greek organizations to sell their historic houses and properties in a trade for a new house built much further off campus. He said the rumor was that Chi Omega had agreed and others were considering.
Supposedly they want more parking and possibly a new academic building.
Any source for this? I know it has happened at other schools.

Out of sight, out of mind. This sounds like the definition of don't buy a pig in a poke.

Here's a photo of the swing house that SK is currently occupying. I've read that it's either the former ADPi or AGD house.

The following schools have opened for NPC expansion:
Boise State University(OH)
Wofford College(SC)
California Polytechnic State University (I am unsure which campus)
I will be creating the list for 2025/2026 within the next week. Thank you all for your patience.

My BFs daughter is a SK at Alabama, and I think they're staying the house they've been in. Her mom sent me photos when they went to visit her, and while it may not be the palace that others live in, it's a pretty house. SK deserves so much more respect on that campus than they get.

Why is it called a swing house? My apologies if this is a pretty dumb question.

It's the Former Humboldt State University in Arcata CA. There's 1 NPC chapter there (DPhiE) and they were open for expansion 5y+ ago
Also, do you mean Idaho (ID) instead of (OH) for Boise State?

Chapters have lived in there while their own houses either get renovated or built. Sigma Kappa was only supposed to be there until this fall, but their new house got delayed.
