update: i contacted the lady in charge or the summer college and asked her about the credit limit and everything. this is what she said:

"You will need to get approval from your department chairperson/advisor to take over 7 credits in a six week session. Thanks, Karen"

so next stop=my advisor. do you guys think hell let me?
I wouldn't if I were him. You don't have a good enough GPA to get into your major. Rationality dictates that you would take a step back and try harder while having less on your plate, not a lot more. But none of this is rational, so what the hell do I know?
