Being happy socially (Greek organizations fall here) is in many ways just as important as academic endeavors, and if not, the health of social happiness/general happiness with life can greatly affect academic success. I would agree with this. There is more to what makes a good fit in a school than academics, though they should certainly be the first priority. For example, all of the grad schools I applied to had large football programs; it wasn't the end all be all of my decision, but it was something I was looking for in terms of fit and university culture.
