I agree. When I think of a bouquet, I tend to think of the presentation (or what I've heard called a Spray) - mostly roses - of flowers.
I was at a store today, and saw some beautiful Gerbera Daisies. Yes, they look lovely in a short stemmed, ribbon tied bouquet, and they'd look stupid carried over the arm, as there's no "drape" to them. Same with some other flowers. But roses or any other normally long stemmed flowers look so much more elegant when cradled in the arm.
