Absolutely. I hate that this happens, but that doesn't mean the rules should be bent. When I was a Rho Gamma, our training over-emphasized dealing with upset PNMs and taught next to nothing about policies and rules. We were instructed to ask a member of the recruitment team, but the problem is that Rho Gammas THINK they know things they really don't.
