I admire you for having the courage to make this decision, even though I am a little wistful about those Oscar de la Renta girls. If they (Oscar or any of the sororities) do informal recruitment, I hope you take the opportunity to get to know them better. The Oscars sounded like a great sisterhood, but like they are victims of some unfortunate tent talk which continues to adversely impact their recruitment. If you spend time with them in a less intense atmosphere, you may be better able to separate the tent talk from the reality and make the best decision for you in the long run.
Best of luck! Focus on your studies, make a 4.0 this semester, and get to know all kinds of woman on campus, both in a sorority and in other organizations.
