But yes, you do appreciate it as you get older. I've been carded three times in the last two years, and I am very, very grateful! Last week, I went to my ob-gyn, and the receptionist was shocked at my age. Look at it as good genes - my mother didn't age a bit until my daddy died.

Another somewhat racial stereotype is having red hair. I am lucky, but rubbing my hair is not going to help you! I don't have a bad temper, but if accused of it too much, I could be tempted to make an exception. Just because my eyes are hazel, not blue, does NOT mean I bleach my hair!

I could go on forever about redheaded rumors, but you all get the idea.
This makes me laugh because I can somewhat relate. I am 50% Irish and 50% Scottish and I get asked all the time, "Why don't you have red hair?" Some people also ask me why I don't have green eyes. Really, people, do you think everyone in Ireland and Scotland have red hair and/or green eyes?! You've seen Far and Away with Nicole Kidman (who is AUSTRALIAN, btw), way too many times!
