THIS. For some reason, recruitment stories have become these drawn out, mind-numbing novels. Most of the time, I wait until a story is completely done before I start reading it. Even then, I don't read the entire thing. When a story starts out with 19 chapters, I find it completely unnecessary to read about the first round of recruitment. Usually, people don't remember a lot, and you really haven't been able to meet a lot of members, and half the time people actually waste their time by typing "I don't remember a whole lot about this party"... which then already indicates to me that there's a good chance that chapter won't show up in the next installment.
