Having an on campus child care center is great resource for students and faculty staff. The community college near me has a brand new day care center too. Usually they are staffed by students in the child development program. One of the high schools near me was built with a child care center facility, but its used by a separate adult education program as a co-op pre-school and for parent ed classes run by the community college district. The high school district apparently decided against high school students having their babies on campus at a traditional high school.
