I disagree. Pledging is a bigger time commitment for fraternities than being a brother is. Why? When you're a brother you don't always have to be at the house meeting guys, you don't have to clean the house up, you don't have to drive people around, etc. My advice would be that if you want to pledge to do it as soon as you can while you're taking easy classes. As you get older your classes get harder and your workload gets heavier, then you really have a hard time pledging.
