I noticed. At first my heart fell, but I realized that if you were together enough to keep writing, that you are a strong young woman and will be just fine. I just want to tell you to keep your chin up. UNC has SO many great opportunities for involvement. I encourage you to seek them out NOW. At my alma mater, there was a coed service fraternity that many people found to be just as fun as regular Greek organizations. Join an intramural sport. Go back and research the various clubs.
Only about 10-12% of students at UNC are Greek. Look around you and see how many of them are having the time of their lives! You are fantastic and will have a great experience here. You have a right to feel sad and disappointed, but don't let that shake your sense of self and your belief in your own special qualities.
Good luck with COB if that is an option. Please follow up here or by PM and let us know how you are doing.
