Diversity...

I would say that in ATL, you shouldn't have a problem. I know SiStars from there who are Filipino, White, and African American. I brought in one of my best friends, who is Korean. Another of my close friends is to be initiated soon, and she is Sicilian. You can see that diversity is not a problem; the only thing that you would need to be concerned with is whether or not you meet the "bloodline" requirement. As far as age, you should keep in mind that younger Stars are still the minority, but we are definitely growing! You will learn a lot from those older members, keep that in mind. If you have any other questions, you can PM me.

Hope this helps, and good luck to you on your endeavors!

My experiences and the beliefs upheld by the order have sparked an interest in the Eastern Star. My Grandmother was a member, but she passed before I was old enough to really ask her about her experience. It seems to be a great option for me. But, I do have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers to online. As a 26 year old Atlanta native, I grew up in a diverse community, surrounded by people from all walks of life. Is there a chapter that is diverse culturally, racially, as well as age-wise? Is this a non-existent concept within the order? Or, am I being a little too optimistic? From what I can conclude, there seems to be a racial divide in GA. There must be something in the Metro Atlanta area available to young, open-minded females looking to be a part of a positive social environment that is welcoming to women of all types. All information is greatly appreciated......THANK YOU!!!
