At Berkeley we have a pretty good greek life! About 12% of the students here are greek... which isn't very high, but it's not bad. I know that at one point (around the 60's-70's) Berkeley's sororities really suffered in membership because at the time, it was really cool to be anti-establishment and sororities were seen as something to be avoided. But membership is going strong now.

Also, most of my California high school friends who went to other colleges went greek (one is a Kappa Kappa Gamma!).

I need to check out the campus there. I just have not really taken the BART up to that neck of the woods
