2 tablespoons butter
1 small chopped onion
4 cups Heinz 57 ketchup
2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 minced cloves of garlic
4 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 the juice from a lemon
1 jalapeno - add to taste. You don't have to put it in if you don't want. Gives it a little kick though.
This is my favorite kind. I used to make it all the time when I was younger. Although I left out the jalapeno, and I added honey and yellow mustard, and I subbed A-1 for the Worcestershire.
