I have not heard you all say anything different from that. And I am hearing justification for that illogic. It's bullisht and you all know it. Your pissed off because I am calling you on it.

And I find it EFFin' selfish that people should have the names you all DEEM proper and appropriate. Like you should know what it is like to have a child and the choice of names.

We are not in Sweden where we have to make people change the names they give their children. We are the United States that last I checked was about freedom and democracy.

Who the HAYLE do you think you are to say some crap like people should review what to name their children?

So what, a kid's name is Shaniqua or Ashante? What of it? Do you know what their chances are in life? And how can you say it is any different from a Betty or a Valerie? The best we can do is provide for the betterment of ALL KIDS. Not just yours or who you think is worthy. But ALL.

We all know you folks are not about that equal access and opportunity here. If you were, you not make the kinds of Bullisht discussion about names. However, since you folks choose to belittle and demean me, it's cool. But what you all are doing is EFF'ed up...

I'm not sure why you aren't really reading what people are saying and that you are putting words into our mouths, but whatever.

Here is the study that 20/20 did:

Sept. 21, 2006 — Studies of resumes have found that people with black-sounding names are less likely to get callbacks.

"20/20" put 22 pairs of names to the test, posting identical resumes except for the names at the top.

Watch "20/20" Friday Night at 10

The resumes with the white-sounding names were actually downloaded 17 percent more often by job recruiters than the resumes with black-sounding names.

What are some of those names? Here's a list from the book "Freakonomics," by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, showing the top 20 whitest- and blackest-sounding girl and boy names.

Here's the link to read the names they used in the study and to read the above via the ABC site:

For the 3rd time, let me emphasize, we are not saying it is okay! What we are saying is that it is unfortunately a reality in the world we live in!

Is it right? No

The great thing that came out of the study (from watching the 20/20 episode, unfortunately the article doesn't say what happened) the employers were made to look like racists because they were pulling that crap.

I did search the ABC transcripts archive but I couldn't find the show name. After September 06, the transcripts don't have information (details) so I wasn't able to find a trasncript of the episode.
