And your New Year's resolution is...?

Sure go ahead...lie to yourself......

Mine:

1. Drink more water

2. Travel More

3. Pay off my bills (been doing really good with that one)

In 2008, I resolve to....

1) Cook more - I rely on eating out and Lean Cuisines entirely too much for my meals.

2) Work out at least 3x a week

3) Work off a monthly budget (though this is a carryover from '07... I have yet to discipline myself enough for this one... haha)

p.s. Last year one of my resolutions was to drink more water and it turned out great. In 06 I drank a ton of sodas a day... I stopped buying soft drinks entirely at the grocery store, and bought those flavor packets for water to take with me to work. I also bought a plastic container that has measuring numbers on the side for when I drink water at work so I know how much I am drinking (esp. if I was going to use the mix in there). So far so good, I've still stuck with it, but it can be hard to remember to drink lots of water when I'm not at work. I will rarely have a soda, but I do every once in awhile

I've been thinking about this for a few days...

1. Work on getting healthy-- eat better, exercise more, and get more rest.

2. Read at least one new book a month. It can't be one that I've already read (which I have a habit I have) and it can't be trashy romance novel.

3. Get more organized when we move into our new home. We don't have enough storage for all of our many activities (golf, camping, fishing, gardening, woodworking... etc.), so hopefully we have more than enough space at the new house! We are putting in a home gym, so that should help with resolution number 1.

4. Forgive more, love more, and enjoy life more.

5. Watch less tv and spend less time on the interent.

I want to concentrate this year on building a better me! :D

Not to make any resolutions.

Actually, that was my resolution many years ago, and I've stuck to it.

Not to let anyone take advantage of me ever again, physically and/ or mentally

continue paying off the credit cards

keep my room... cleaner lol

actually be good at work, stay offline (except GC) and be ON TIME (have a horrible time with that one, even with 3 alarm clocks.... :o)

spend more time with my little sisters (biological)

eat better, exercise

cut down on the smoking... if not quit all together... (and try to get my mom and dad to quit too)

justabeachbrat 12-31-2007 03:28 PM

continue/finish losing weight: tied to my finally eating healthy and getting off my butt. (10 pounds to go)

get in touch with some former close friends I lost track of. I actually started that at a Christmas party, I saw a college friend I hadn't seen for quite awhile, and we talked as if picking up in mid-sentence from before.

find many of my relatives. My parents' heated divorce when I was a kid and stuff I don't have a clue about led to me not knowing my dad's side of the family back east, and it's long past time for me to find these people and decide for myself.

yeah, perhaps a stupid one, but don't care. When I was in my blimp stage, I tried to surf, but with the extra weight, it didn't go well. I surfed when I was a pre-teen, love the ocean. Now, many pounds less, I intend to try again.

A must: when school starts, break my last minute cramming habit, I think what I am trying to cram in just leaks out my ears.

You said it all for me!

Feel the same way and have been doing it for YEARS!:D

Why lie to yourself and others when you know better!:)

I really don't make resolutions, but the above would apply to me, except I have a brother and no biological sisters. Good Luck AlethiaSi!

Oh yeah....I paid off all credit card debt a few months. My pockets are still suffering because I paid it all in full, but it is nice not to get those bills every month. I actually overpaid J. Crew and got a refund check!:D

To just do and be better....that's it.

To make out with this singer/rockstar I have a huge crush on. Dead serious.

Benzgirl 12-31-2007 07:25 PM

Lose 15 pounds by June 1.
Reduce the amound of chocolate I eat by 50% (this will allow me to attain the first goal.)
Allow my shoulder to heal after surgery.
Cook fewer meals that give me heartburn.

Minor technicality. Go for it.

Benzgirl 12-31-2007 07:40 PM
