Questions about Official Sorority Books
Hello,
I was wondering how many of you give the pledges, an official booklet, or packet that discusses the history, the founder the purposes, etc. And I was also wondering if any of you could give me ideas as to what else can go in a book, or packet like this. Thank you! Brittany |
Brittany...no one is going to tell you what to give YOUR new members.
Every organization is different. What MY sorority deems priority may not be the same as what other Sororities deem priority. BTW, what is a philanthropic sorority? Question- why did your organization name itself Zeta Phi Alpha? |
Although it's true that no one can tell you what's impotant, I know that it can be REALLY helpful to know what sorts of things other people have in their pledge books.
Ours consist of: -Letter from one of our founders explaning why she wanted to start the organization, how and when it was formed, who helped her, etc... -A page with our motto, color, mascot, pillars, etc -The greek alphabet -We're a Jewish sorority, so the Hebrew alphabet -A "facebook" with a little picture and blurb about each current sister. -The requirements, rules, and excpectations of Pledge -And a pledge calendar, with all events. Aside from the last two, the pledge book provides them with all the information they will need to pass the membership test |
