Company Will Repair Navy Facilities in Mississippi
 

The Houston paper reports that a Houston-based company has been hired by the Navy to do repair work at three naval facilities in Mississippi. The company is named -- hope I get the spelling right -- Halliburton.

WOW, that is really swell. The same Company of which Cheney was a part of screwed us as Tax Payers out of Millions of Dollars over the Iraqi War.:mad:

Wow they never get government contracts.

The Bechtel Group, the Parsons Group, and Schlumberger and Foster Wheeler.

I'm not exactly sure all of those are able to provide these services. Schlumberget is on the oil and gas industry. I hadn't heard of Foster Wheeler but their website is dedicated to: UPSTREAM OIL & GAS • LNG & GAS-TO-LIQUIDS • REFINING • CHEMICALS & PETROCHEMICALS • PHARMACEUTICALS, BIOTECHNOLOGY & HEALTHCARE • POWER (none seem to be naval facilities).

As for why Bechtel wasn't chosen, well I suppose it had something to do with this: "contract awarded in 2004 after a competitive bidding process". It's also funny that you brought up Bechtel since the company was involved in quite a few scandals, just like Halliburton. Actually Bechtel and Parsons were involved in a billing scandal in the 90s. Bechtel is just as connected to DC as Halliburton.
