Stop Identify Theft
I was standing behind an elderly woman in the bank. She was holding up her deposit slip. I saw her name, the amount she was depositing, and part of her checking account number. She was covering her address.
I tapped her on the shoulder. I told her, "If I was a thief, I could get all your information." I pointed at her deposit slip. She folded her deposit slip. We started talking about identify theft. The teller called me to the counter. Before I left I said goodbye, Ms. ****. This experience made me think about how identify thieves worked. They must worked in pairs. Because if I had an accomplice with me, he or she could have read her address. Let's stop identify theft. Identify theft hurts everyone. Information I had to share with you. |
Good point Soror! People need to be VERY careful with their information. People are getting more and more creative with how they get our information.

I think that is great informatin. I'm sorry to crash your board. This is such a great topic because people don't realize how easy someone could read their information.
I also try to make sure no one has their camera phones out while I'm either writing a check or using my card. You never know if they are trying to capture your information. I hope you don't mine I crashed. |
