Tri Sigma to you..
Tri Sigma has been an amazing experiance. It has challenged me, and as a result, turned me into a better woman. The friends I have made are lifelong. They have seen me at rock bottom and at the absolut top. I would definitly not be still in school had I not have joined.
My sisters are amazing women. They have faced so many various hardships in their lives, yet continue to push on. Their personal triumps have inspired me to do better in my own life. I am so blessed to be associated with such a fine group of women. |
The lack of my eloquence of words could never really convey what Sigma means to me. I love that I am part of something that is more than just me in my little corner in the world. I love the fact that girls I've never met, from every walk of life, with every kind of personality has taken the same oaths and spoken the same words as I have.
I am humbled and greatful for what Sigma has allowed me to become. I was able to recognize my skills as a leader and mentor, I gained confidance, and I learned that it is possible to love something more than yourself just becasue it is so inherently pure and good. I am thankful for the good times, bad times, struggles, laughter, tears, and friendships I have made. In my situation I am still honored that I along with 23 other girls came together at the same time, and at the same place on a campus that was willing to accept us, and bring Sigma as the only national sorority to our school. I look now as an alumni at what we are, and what we have become, and its more than anything I can describe. Seeing girls that never would have had this chance, embracing life, love, and each other must be what our 8 founders envisioned Sigma would be...and I am so proud that we continue to be true to ourselves and the prinicples and ideals of our sorority. |
