Songs at Pref?
 

What songs does your chapter sing at Pref (last round) of recruitment? Also, what do your chapter members wear?

At pref my chapter currently wears black dresses and shoes. We switched from red dresses a couple years ago.

The songs we sing are:
Bring me a rose
Epsilon song
AOII Edielweiss
It only takes a spark
and
Oh I have a Sister

All members wear black dresses and shoes. In the past our president used to wear red, but not anymore.

At pref we were black dresses and sing:

and I think that's it.

and a few more... but i have forgetton which ones. which is very ironic since last night was our rush retreat and we must have sang them 5473875394 times!!

My chapter sang the prettiest song at Pref. I know that it goes to the tune of a christian song, but I cannot remember what the name of that song is. Here's some of the words, maybe one of you knows what it goes to:

I have all of the lyrics at home (I'm at the office now), but that's the chorus that I remember. Its the most beautiful song and since its Pref that made me realize I was an AOII at heart, its my favorite AOII song!!

Your chapter sings that song to the tune of "El Shaddai"! ASLFRose sings it all the time!

Haha, I should have known to ask you Carnation! :) Don't forget to update us all on how you're girl at VSU does in rush this year!! Wish her luck!!

We also have a very similar version of an AOII El-Shaddai song and I absolutely love it. The chapter hadn't used it in a LONG time when I was at school and a few of us worked it out and taught it to the chapter and it turnned out BEAUTIFUL!!! I hope they use it again soon so it isn't forgotten. :)

How does this "Spark" song go? Maybe we sing it and I'm just brain dead right now.

Well I made the mistake, it's not called "Spark" It's called "Pass it on"

It only takes a spark,

That is the first verse, and there are three but we only sing the first and last.

Our chapter sings the CandleLight Song for an entrance. The next songs come in the ceremony are (in this order): Bring Me a Rose, Where Are You Going? (to music of "turn around"), one single member sings amy gran's "If These Walls Could Speak" with a few words changed, IF (with AOII words), and The Rose. our pref ceremony music is provided by myself on the piano with my lil sis susan accompanying the bassline for The Rose on her cello....its beautiful.
our dresses (which none of us like) are a burgundy-ish merlot-type colored fabric with bone (yuck) shoes and panty hose
