So I was cleaning out one of my dad's filing cabinets...
 

and just found my mom's membership certificate. My grandmother gave me all of my mom's old DG stuff right after my mom's death, but the certificate was missing. I can't belive I just found it. It's so amazing to see that it is the exact same as the one I have (names, etc, changed of course). The only difference is that it is in a blue folder, mine came in a green one.

I have a ton of old DG stuff now...lot's of old Anchora's, the CCOM from 1970, old name tags, an old song book, and a number of other things...it's amazing to see how much DG has grown in the past 30 years...the CCOM has quadrupled in size and things like that.

I just wanted to share how happy I was that I found her certificate...:D

That is so great that you found her DG certificate! I love looking at old Anchoras and seeing all the old-fashioned pictures. I also love the old Anchoras from the early 80s (when Anchor Trader began). Some of the old Anchor Trader stuff is so funny; it makes you wonder, "who would wear that?" :)

Oh YAY CJ you found it!! That would be awesome if you could frame both of yours together...such a great memory especially if you could put that picture of you and your mother at your initiation!
It was so awesome to look through all of your mom's stuff with you....my mom never went to college so she never had the chance to join a sorority and keep all that wonderful memorabilia. I'm just glad I got to experience it with someone else!
