Gatlinburg
We're planning a fraternity trip to Gatlinburg in October or November. We're expecting around 170 people, give or take. Where can we find cabins for this, preferably next to each other or very close. Anyone who's been to Gatlinburg- where did you stay and who did you book through?
Thanks |
You will probably have difficulty renting cabins. Most (all?) of the management companies do not rent to student groups and all of the cabins have a maximum occupancy that is probably much, much lower than what you are expecting.
There are also noise codes, party limitations, etc. Essentially, the management companies have adopted policies that prohibit the exact type of scenario and situation that you are proposing. The cabins are private individual's homes, and those homeowners become financially responsible when guests damage or take any of the contents. There is hardly a homeowner on the planet that would take on the risk of a fraternity party for the relatively negligible cost of an overnight stay. In addition, the management companies won't take the risk of offending the neighbors with the noise. ETA: Guest policies for probably the largest cabin rental program. Expect all other management companies to state something similar. |
i just went to a mountain weekend at gatlinburg falls resort.. it was so much fun, we got a lot of noise complaints but there were lots of other fraternities there hosting the same thing. all the fraternities at my school go there
