Canadian Apology

This is funny:

On behalf of Canadians everywhere I'd like to offer an apology to the United States of America. We haven't been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry.

I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron but, it wasn't nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After all it's not like you actually elected him.

I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper and better than your own.

I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defense I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours.

I'm sorry we burnt down your White House during the war of 1812. I notice you've rebuilt it! It's very nice.

I'm sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer but we feel your pain.

I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons.

And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is really a thinly veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not upset over this.

We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with.

bcdphie 03-07-2003 05:34 PM

I love that - I was considering posting it myself, but I wasn't too sure how it would go down. I guess I was exercising my typical passive-agressive way. LOL :).

This topic is cracking me up.

And Tom is right -- y'all have no right to be calling our president a moron! We're the ones that have to put up with him.

Brian Adams can, at times, at least be bearable.

I blame Canada for Celine! :D

DeltaSigStan 03-07-2003 11:24 PM

Well, we can settle this with a nice game of war, since hockey isn't that big of a deal in America (not as big as the other three sports where we can kick those hosers' asses)

Since this isn't 1812, and things are a little different now, you can tell your army to gather up all their slingshots, pick up all the rocks they can find, saddle up their horses and come down here and try something. When you get a missle up your ass, don't say we didn't tell you so.

Oh, and, the beauty of America is that we make you use up all your dirt farm land to grow all those trees and brew all that beer, and we can just hoard it from you, like how SoCal hoards water from NorCal.
Wise people make others do their jobs for them:)

lol j/k Canada, you're STILL, once again, #1 in the world at being North of the United States........

Kevin 03-07-2003 11:57 PM

At our national convention in Toronto, CA (which was a great idea since the Canadian drinking age is 18) I heard a Canadian comic at 2nd City give the best ever description of Canada's relation to the US: Canada is like the United States' little brother -- and it has a smaller penis.

KillarneyRose 03-08-2003 01:02 AM

Geez!

Are you all still upset about Wayne Gretzky marrying Janet Jones and settling in California??? :(

Vanilla Ice, a tragic US mistake if I ever saw one. But not as bad as the German or was it the British with Milli Vanilli. Then again, the British shame themselve with the Spice Girls. However, I have never forgiven the Sweden for giving us Roxette. This world sux.

Kylie Minogue with Australia. Damn, they had a good thing going with INXS, but she and silverchair had to show up.

BLAME CANADA
All four Moms

Sheila: Time's have changed
Our kids are kids are getting worse
They wont obey their parents
They just want to fart and curse!
Sharon: Should we blame the government?
Liane: Or blame society?
Dads: Or should we blame the images on TV?
Sheila: No, blame Canada
Everyone: Blame Canada
Sheila: With all their beady little eyes
And flappin heads so full of lies
Everyone: Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Sheila: We need to form a full assault
Everyone: It's Canadas fault!
Sharon: Don't blame me
For my son Stan
He saw the darn cartoon
And now he's off to join the Klan!
Liane: And my boy Eric once
Had my picture on his shelf
But now when I see him he tells me to fuck myself!
Sheila: Well, blame Canada
Everyone: Blame Canada
It seems that everythings gone wrong
Since Canada came along
Everyone: Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Some Guy: There not even a real country anyway
Ms. McCormick: My son could've been a doctor or a lawyer it's true
Instead he burned up like a piggy on a barbecue
Everyone: Should we blame the matches?
Should we blame the fire?
Or the doctors who allowed him to expire?
Sheila: Heck no!
Everyone: Blame Canada
Blame Canada
Sheila: With all their hockey hubbabaloo
Liane: And that bitch Anne Murray too
Everyone: Blame Canada
Shame on Canada
The smut we must stop
The trash we must smash
Laughter and fun
must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before someone thinks of blaming uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus

Well, I don't care if you make fun of Bush.

Ah well, basketball and football: invented by Canadians, perfected by Americans.

In all honesty those beers suck. XXX is just straight out disgusting, and Blue is at best generic.

Admittidly they are better then most American brands.

but so is everything Canadian:D

Much like the Canadien NHL teams! Most Americans could care less about hockey yet american teams win it a lot. Thats messed up. Teams like Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, etc deserve to win the cup.

No need to apologize but could you do all of us Americans a favor and stop wearing Speedos at the beach?

I don't know what beaches you're hanging out at but we're a population who LOVES our boxer bathing suits. You must be getting us confused with Europe.

And it's true, Molson XXX is not one of our better beers. Too bad you guys don't get Keiths imported. Then you'd be jealous. Even Budweiser is better when it's brewed in Canada!

We admit we gave you Avril and Celine. And for that we truly apologize. But really, we also gave you Jim Carey and Mike Meyers. Don't we deserve SOME thanks for that?

(btw, Cooper, remind me why people go to the Brunny???)

Ha! Canadians are very weird! Keith's is actually very good beer, I try to get it whenever I go over there. I live three minutes outside of Windsor and my school is very popular with canadians. I guess the girl who just won the Miss Canada beauty pagent goes to Wayne State.
