Manute Bol, Hockey Player
|
You have got to be kidding...
Does he even know how to skate? |
HOLY TOLEDO!!!!!!! He is freakin tall.
|
OMG, that is hysterical.
Has anyone ever seen the Manute Bol SNL skit? It's so freaking funny! |

I can't imagine. It would be like Shaq being a baseball player, although he would prolly be a quality first baseman and could knock the catcher's block off at the plate.
  http://www.plauder-smilies.de/angryfire.gifhttp://www.plauder-smilies.de/angryfire.gif at the Lakers' 2-6 start. |
That is the dumbest thing i've ever seen...he thinks he can just strap on a pair of skates and be as agile as men who've been skating since they were 5....first shift someone will lay him out with a hipcheck, guaranteed.
|
oh man one of my friends here at uml is 7 feet tall and walking beside him is so humbling.. i'm short as it is, and when someone is almost 2 feet taller than you it really puts life into perspective...
as for ice skating, i don't think that's gonna work out for him.. "the taller they are, the harder they fall"... most of our ice skaters are rather short, and UML has a pretty good team, top ten nationally last year. |
No one would have to hit him...as soon as he stepped out onto the ice he would fall over.
They are'nt going to play him...just dress him in order to sell tickets |
Hockey will never be the same now.....

Do you think he would actually make it to practice? They guy can't even skate, it's all a publicity stunt. Oh, and people would see him...he's over 7 feet tall. |

I know if this article was about cc1gc, people would lined up for miles to get into the arena to watch the freak show on ice. |
I like how, in the article, the general manager keeps trying to come up with euphemisms for "we're doing this for the money."
He might as well just come out and say it. :D |

I recall reading about some 'little people' that they once played in Major League Baseball back in the early 20th century to sell tickets. They actually were fairly successful since their strike zone was so small.
Manute's just screwed unless they intend to have him just lay down in front of the goal and block the whole thing:D |

Veeck signed Gaedel to a one-day major league contract for the publicity stunt. Gaedel was at bat once, walked on 4 pitches, and was pinch-ran for. After this, MLB made a rule against such events happening again. Collin |
