my cat is missing
i am so upset.
one of my little cats ran out the door today. the door wasn't shut all the way and she must have ran out. we've scoured the neighborhood and put up missing posters. i don't even know what else to do. i keep thinking of all of the bad things that could happen. she used to live outside 2 years ago before we took her in but she hasn't been out since. she's been missing for about 5 hours and there's no sign of her. just keep her in your hearts for me. :( |
I'm so sorry to hear that your cat is missing cash78mere. I know how awful I felt after my favorite cat ran away a few years ago. I cried and cried and cried. Hopefully she'll return home soon!!!!!!

Cash, I'm sending you and kitty my best wishes. Maybe put an open can of tuna on your front porch? She's bound to get hungry and she knows where home is so maybe that will entice her to show up.
I hope everything works out! |
Oh, dear! I will keep my fingers crossed for you...I would be beside myself if one of my pets escaped.
Killarney's idea is an excellent one. If she doesn't come back in a few days, take her picture to the pound and the Humane Society. Maybe she will already be there, or, if someone brings her in the staff will recognize her. I really hope she comes home soon. |
Aww sweetie I know how that feels....I had a puppy not too long ago that I had found and well she ran outside and was never seen again :( I cried forever...Im keeping my fingers crossed for you that you find your kitty...Im sure she'll find her way home to ya :)

Cookie has been spotted twice!
she is somewhere in one of our neighbor's yards. we hear her meowing and have seen her but everytime we try to get near her, she bolts. she must be scared stiff. thanks all for thinking about us! i appreciate it! i even cancelled my plans for the night. i'm too upset to go out. |
cash78mere, i am so sorry to hear about your cat!:(
the same thing happened to my dog about a couple of months ago, i think i made a post about it too! atleast she has been spotted and you know she is around! I have always heard that cats know where their house is and even if they run away they always remember their way back! good luck sweetie! |
Hope you find her!

Hoping your cat turns up safe and sound. :(

great news!!!
cookie is home safe and sound--just a little dirty and tired and she caught a cold from the rain we had last night. my mom stayed up ALL night. at 5:30am she heard her crying again. cookie ran into the garage and my mom locked her in. she was still so frightened. my mom got her though! cookie is so tired. but at least she is safe...and home! :) |
Don't panic sister-she will most liklely stay around the house/neighborhood, might want to go get a trap though from the local shelter and put food in it. One of the Drs. here lost her cat for 2 months at the corner of a major intersection, anyways, she finally had to get a trap and 2 months later he was captured.
My thoughts are with you. |
Thank goodness! I am so happy for all of you, but especially Cookie! I bet she won't be trying that again anytime soon. ;)
I love happy endings! |
Glad she turned up. :)

I'm so glad Cookie came home. My beautiful Mischa disappeared 2 1/2 years ago and I am still not over it. He was always the best kitty.....he ran outside all the time except at night and no matter what time of day, if you went out and called him, he'd come running like a dog. And if he didn't come in at night when we called him and we got mad and shut him out, he would come sit under my window and cry until I came down and got him. I want another kitty so bad.....none could be like my Mischkabibbles but I am a cat person (and a dog person) and I always will be.
He was so beautiful.....medium sized, with long, silky jet-black hair without a spot of any other color. He had gorgeous yellow eyes and a precious face that was just slightly squished in like a persian but not as flat.....his face reminded me of a little owl. He rocked. And what a lover!!!!!! He just lived to be cuddled and loved. |
Now I miss my first kitty. His name was tiger and he was friends with my much beloved cocker spaniel lady. When Lady died he went looking for her (at least I like to think that he did) and never came back :( now I miss them both.

even though i now hate and am sooo scared of cats.... when i was younger my next door neighbor's cat had kittens. I thought they were sooo cute and wanted one so bad! My mom dislikes cats so she said i could have one but he would have to live outside, so i got a kitten. Well my house was the last one on the street and we had a big tree next to us. Well turns out, a lot of mockingbirds lived in that tree. Everytime my poor kitty would walk in front of that tree, the mockingbirds would go and peck on him! :( One day we walked out and there were pieces of his fur on our lawn and we never ever saw him again! :( it was such a sad time, so we either figured the birds pecked him to death or he left, but im pretty sure the birds did it. Although its a sad story people laugh when i tell them because they dont think a bird could kill a cat, but it was still a kitten so i believe it!

to erika and billy and those of you who have missing pets-
gosh, i am so sorry. that is awful. i really know how you feel. maybe someone took them in and they are lounging in front of a fireplace somewhere eating gourmet food. to those of you with cats-- please don't ever let your cat live outdoors. they live shorter lives and risk their lives everyday. cars, wild animals, crazy kids and pesticides are only some of the dangers they face. cats don't belong outside. ever. please have a heart and keep them in. even if they beg to go out. they will thank you for it. i promise |
Both of mine are outside kitties. They kill so many things.
|
just in case your pets get lost again -- ask your vet about having it microchiped - it costs about 50 bucks
but all animal shelters and vet hospitals scan the animals for microchips these are permanant identifications for your pets My roomie who works for a vet reunited a family with their dog who had been missing for 2 years!! so microchips work!! its money well spent |
They have them for kids yet? That would be a useful and obvious idea.
|
thats funny!!
and a novel idea but i imagine it would be painful they use a BIG needle:eek: |
oh my goodness so many missing animals. I am soo sorry to everyone who is missing their animal, I don't know what I would do if any of my animals were missing. So to all of you with missing animals I hope you find them safe and sound. Cash~ I am glad cookie is home safe and sound and I hope cookie also feels better.
Eveyone keep your fingers crossed for missing animals DGP~Honey~ |
