Tonight begins another installment of that hot mess we all know and love. This time we have Ali Fedotowsky, yet another second-chancer.

Let's see what the producers can cook up this time around.

Aren't trainwrecks required?

Yes. Not only is this reality tv, this is a reality DATING show. Trainwrecks are a MUST.

Well with the cheeseballs I've seen so far, I don't see how there couldn't be any trainwrecks.

This poisoned "Bachelor Family Tree" traces all the way back to Brad Womack...and it needs to be chopped down.

Anyone else think Ali looks heavier now than she did when on The Bachelor? That girls needs serious arm exercises! Her arms looked very flabby in that black evening dress.

Also, just for the purpose of full disclosure - I cannot stand her. I think she is terribly fake and am going to have a hard time enjoying this season.

Yeah, I agree that there is a terrible pattern to this show for both genders.

Ugh, I thought she was A LOT more annoying last night than she was last season. I agree that she came off incredibly fake and ditzy.

However, as much as I disliked her, a lot of the guys made me absolutely cringe. Maybe I'm picky, but most of those guys' antics were a complete turnoff, IMO.

I agree with just about EVERYTHING you said. I will say, however, it's not that I can't stand her but I DO definitely think that she is fake. I thought it was ironic that they brought out the box for the bachelors to write down who they thought was not there for the right reason - the entire time I was thinking "I'll bet SHE isn't there for the right reason! Send HER home!"

I would have much preferred if that sweet girl whose heart Jake broke (Tenley) was the new bachelorette.

I like Tenley too much to want to see her as the new bachelorette :)

I thought that 90% of those guys were just UCK! I wonder if they are having trouble getting people to sign up for the show these days, cuz it sure looked like they are "bottom of the barrel" types.

These were not the smoking hot guys of bachelorettes past. But after seeing the big preview, it looks as if we will see a few train wrecks. Here's hoping!

I liked her too. I wasn't thinking of it in that way. I was just saying that if they wanted someone sincere about finding love, they would have had Tenley. Their choosing Ali says a lot about the seriousness of the show.

I thought quite a few of them were handsome. I couldn't believe she kept that jerk from Sarnia, Ontario, though. He was nothing but rude the whole night, and I don't even remember her talking to him.

I loved the way Frank jumped out of the limo skylight. And I liked the weatherman. I love a guy with a sense of humor, so that's a win with me. There were other guys I liked, too, but a lot of them ran together for me.

The guy from Colorado (the outdoorsman) seemed a little "off," but I thought he had the funniest line of the night: "I'm not really concerned about the other guys. I mean, I've killed a bear."

The bachelors and bachelorettes can only be so "real" on a show like this. I mean, the filming must go on for hours and hours, and I'm sure they do re-takes of at least the scenes between just her and Chris Harrison or just her. On this episode in particular, it was all about the guys and their antics...all she really got to do was react to them.

I'm trying to figure out who it is that has a girlfriend!

They implied that Kasey (the guy who sounds like he's partially deaf) is totally crazy (like Michelle from last season anyone??) and I can see it! He seems way too emotional really early.

I think Justin the wrestler dude is sweet. Wrestling seems kinda weird, but I don't think he's being fake with her. (Unless he IS the one with a gf!)

Oh, and I think Ty seems really sweet. Yeah, I guess I like his accent, too!

"Shooter"?? Really?? Did he really tell her that story? Of course, I kept thinking "he had to have gotten that nickname from some fraternity brothers." LOL

OMG I know!!

Oh I forgot to say something. I chuckled cause I thought the first episode was like a very lopsided recruitment and everyone wants to join the Ali house! Lol! They all have similar conversations, and it's hard to remember names without any nametags. :p

You know, I've been thinking about this, and if Kasey really is as intense, attached and emotional as he's already expressed, it makes me mad at ABC. They interview and screen these guys to crazy degrees, including psych exams, and you KNOW some of these red flags came up for Michelle last season and now Kasey this season. It's so wrong of ABC to use emotional instability for manufactured drama on this show or any others. They're putting anyone in that house, Ali and crew members in jeopardy, but as long as it leads to high ratings they don't care.

Did anyone else notice that in the clip that was shown right before Ali gave Jonathan the rose, they showed Jonathan with a rose already? I am going to watch the video online to make sure, but their horrible editing job ruined the end of the episode for me!

Thank goodness Craig is gone. He was truly horrible.

Yes! Also, I am pretty sure that when "Gentlemen, this is the last rose" was said, the shot of the group showed that none of them had roses. I never notice this sort of stuff so was proud that I did tonight!

And, I am SO glad creepy psycho guy is gone.

One other note - in keeping with my tackiness displayed earlier, I really think that whoever is dressing Ali is doing a terrible job. That gown she wore to dinner? Yuck - very unflattering.

Craig M was soooo weird! I know that the tape was edited in such a way to make him look even more weird, but I think there was also a lot of truth to it. When he was talking to Ali during their alone time, he dodged all of her questions. All he kept saying was that if she had a date with him, he would show her a good time. He didn't seem to have a genuine interest in her.

...with that said, Ali is annoying and I don't think SHE is on the show for the right reasons either. I think she is completely fake and I believe more and more that she was a horrible choice for the show.

1) When Ali was flying to Vegas, did anyone else expect Jake to show up and say he was the pilot?

2) I was hoping that both Craig M and Jonathan were sent home. They both are weird. Would have been fun to watch their faces if they both were sent packing.

Yeah, I was thinking, "Weren't 3 guys eliminated? They only showed 2!" Weird

You know they had to make it seem like she was choosing between the two of them. Eh!

HILARIOUS! His time is coming ... she just hasn't had a one-on-one with him yet, but he has all sorts of awkward inside of him just waiting to bust out!

And I HATE Kasey's voice. PERIOD. I could not listen to that for the rest of my life and I would have sent him home a long time ago! In the previews, she's on a one-on-one with him and he is singing to her! He sounds like Kermit the Frog!

They were making fun of this on The Soup, too! WTF is going on with this guy??

The lawyer reminds me a lot of Toby from the Office, and the weatherman/Jonathan reminds me of a really obnoxious Tom Cruise. I felt bad for him when Craig was picking on him, but after he was crying at the music video shoot I completely lost patience with him.

It's really early, but it seems like Frank or Roberto has the best shot. I find Frank really annoying, but I actually really like Roberto. Hopefully he'll do better than Ali. It seems like she just likes him for his looks based on every conversation they've had - she just keeps saying, Wow, you're really good-looking. I can't believe how hot you are. How is it you like me? *gigglegiggle*

Also, did anyone else laugh when Ali was comparing Justin to Vienna and saying he was misunderstood? Ali, YOU were the one antagonizing Vienna! I'm not a big Vienna fan but I did think Ali acted like a huge bitch to her all season, so for her to suddenly feel bad for the underdog is pretty hypocritical IMHO.

I call that Kasey guy "Marbles" because he sounds like he's talking with a handful of marbles in his mouth.

Is anyone still watching? I LOVED the audio over Justin's premature...exit...tonight. If there was any doubt the producers were making up the claims - a la Roslyn last season - that put it to rest.

I'm still watching! And I thought the audio of Justin's messages was pretty hilarious. Granted I have no idea why it took this long for anyone to find out he had a gf - aren't these guys supposed to be vetted through the casting process? Not that I'm really complaining, it makes for good drama :)

My coworker dragged me into watching this (toward the middle of Jake's "season"), and now we text back and forth throughout the show about what we're thinking of how this is all playing out. Eh - it's mindless entertainment for the summer :D

ngl, minus keeping cray cray casey and justin too long, ali is doing a pretty good job of picking the good ones out of a season of lame-os.

i'd date any of the final 5, haha.
