Should I call this guy?

First off sorry I havent posted in a while! College is such a crazy awesome fun time!

Last night I was at this party and I met this guy who reminded me a lot of my HS boyfriend - except hes older (21) and into the fraternity scene (my ex bf was VERY unsupportive when I decided that I want to rush) and an overall great guy. He gave me his #, so now - should i pick up the phone???

KillarneyRose 09-23-2001 06:39 PM

It's just my opinion, but I definitely think you should give him a call!

kdgirlie 09-23-2001 06:39 PM

I do not see why you would not call but definately wait a few days, so you do not seem over eager. oh yeah and be careful of freshmeat guys. (-- but I dated an older guy when I was a frosh and he was perfectly fine.)
have fun and good luck

Call tomorow and invite him to do something . . .

I'm not sure I would be interested if a girl called 2 days or so later . . . or at least not as interested as I was.

IF I liked her, or found her attractive I would accept any reasonable invitation, or turn around and make a counter offer, if I didn't like her or find her attractive (sober) I wouldn't:).

You should definitly give him a call. Just invite him to go hang out sometime. Be casual about it. Let us know how it all goes.

Decide first if you want to talk to him or see him. That will make the decision on whether or not to call him pretty easy.

James 09-25-2001 05:14 PM

Did you call him yet? It doesn't get easier the longer you wait . . .

Really? You would lose interest in two days? Oy. I got digits last night, and I am deciding what to do with them. Especially because he told me to call him for his help on something, and I can't decide if it is innocent or not.

Oy, I am too old for this.

My hungover brain is not functioning so well...I think a better question is why I would take advice from James ;)

Infamous12 09-04-2007 12:01 PM

I don't give my number out, so I'd prefer to have the guys give their number.

I make them either write it down or say it so that I remember it. I HATE taking my phone out and being so obvious with the number exchange. ;)

However, If I really like you though, I'll call/text your phone or hand you my business card when we part ways.

PrettyBoy 09-05-2007 01:08 AM

I never had the guts to ask for a phone number. I've always been in shy mode, I just can't seem to shake it.:o

if he hands you his business card with cell written on the back and then you get all happy and show your friends then yes you should call because otherwise he's all WTF

Ladies, which method do you prefer?

I prefer that a guy asks me for my number, but i don't mind it when a guy gives me his, I don't have a problem calling (depending how the situation went) and if I like him, but like I said, I would much rather him call me.

tld221 09-06-2007 12:49 AM

ivebeen giving my number out and its notworkingout.
but i dont like calling guys either. so there.

James 09-06-2007 01:14 AM

Its a numbers game. The more you give out your number the more calls you get. And most of the time when they don't call it has little to do with you.

Guys are famous for needing a "reason" to call, other than "just to chat." And if too long goes by before he has a good reason, he figures its too late to call.

id much rather give my number out. the worst thing that can happen is that you find out youre not interested and hope they lose your number. but then again thats what caller id was invented for!

ThetaLove 09-11-2007 11:57 PM

I was going to tell the OP to call him and next time, to give a guy her number. and then I noticed the date!

I have never gotten a guy's number. I think guys should be guys and get my number. If they are interested, they will call. I do agree that some women would rather have the ball in their court so to speak.

How is that? That's why I don't call. Generally I won't if she's the opposite of me.

Buttonz 09-16-2007 01:01 PM

I hate making the first call, I rather he calls me.
