Alpha Phi Alpha nearing 100 Years!

Hotep my Beloved Black Sisters & Brothers. Engulfed in racism, Jim Crowism, and various other wicked forms of racial hatred a courageous group of BLACK MEN who were present out of all places Ithaca, New York embarked upon having vision for a fraternal manisfestation of GREATNESS & SPLENDOR. Their vision would later evolve into the GLORIOUS RESULT of ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC. Sacred to all ALPHA MEN is the date DECEMBER 4, 1906. Enough said.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., was founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

It is the oldest existing intercollegiate GLO established by African Americans.

My chapter, Upsilon of Alpha Delta Pi, was founded in 1912 and were installed by the next closest chapter, Theta from Lawerence in Appleton Wisconsin and are now one of the oldest continually running chapters.

Some of the info on that is wrong.

The Gamma chapter of Beta Theta Pi, located at Washington and Jefferson College, has been in continous existence since 1842, making it the oldest chapter in continous existence of any fraternity. 163 years old.

Wow!!! That's only a few miles (well, 12-13) down the road from me. The next time I'm in Washington, I'll have to check out the house!

Unfortunatly, they don't have a house. It's one of those dorm things or quads or whatever. I don't understand how they work.
