HAHAHAHHA.

Cream, you could write bad poetry for them.

I have an idea. Lets all send them messages in their guestbook telling them how happy we are for them and how much we dig their poetry.

I want someone to PM Cory and get his opinion on the poetry. Being the poet laureate of GC, it would be interesting to hear his critique.

I'm so stupid! Yeah, I have a 4.8 GPA but so what? I need a 1600!" WTF. This HS is nothing but a cutthroat, you-survive-or-else environment. Do you give a rat's ass if someone struggles or gets less than that "horrible" 1490?! Ughhhhhhhhhhh.

TO MY LOWER/MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL:

Nine years of putting up with condescending rich bitches who had no interest in anything except spending their daddies money while being told I was ugly poor and worthless.

And guess what? I got a 1450 on that lil test didn't I? And let's see, your collective asses might have come up with a 1200 altogether, right? Yeah y'all can kiss my ass. And then I had the sheer NERVE to get into my Ivy League school EARLY. BITCH WHAT! Affirmative action my ass. Let's try A's and being head of almost every activity of the slightest importance!

It ain't my fault that your daddies weren't able to buy you into a school better than Tulane (not that it's a bad school to any that go there, I'm just venting here so it's flowing).

So when those famous fundraising drives of yours come around, don't call me. If one of you bitches sees me in the street, walk the fuck by. Keep my name out your mouth. I wear that graduation ring to remind me that what's on the outside means so very little.

To the ones who actually treated me like a human being despite my having committed the cardinal sin of not being born with a platinum spoon in my mouth, y'all rock! No matter what shit went down between us in college, etc. you will always be my dogs on SOME level because you were THERE and you know what it was that we went through. I can't say I like all of you, but we share that experience.

To my boy Teddy: Man, can I say that you are just keeping it GANGSTA right now? I am so so so so so so so proud of you. I have never had a friend who was as giving as you are and I think I would have gone crazy or dropped out if you weren't there. You really are the brother of my heart, the person I would have chosen to be my blood if I had a say. Get your ass out of Ohio so I can set you up with some nice black girl!

Mommy: Thank you. I love you. Even if you have said some FUCKED UP SHIT to me, no one can support me and my goals and my fucked-up-in-the-head-ness like you do, and no one else would put up with my disrespectful ass, lol.

E&N: Yeah we're sisters but y'all really just turn me off in a lot of ways. I can't reach out to you anymore and I don't know how to be with you guys.

Newbie...

I'm glad you vented, because it sounds like you have a shitload going on in your life right now. It reminds me all too well of the situation I was in right before I went to college....stresses me out just thinking of it, to be honest with ya! You seem like a really sweet gal, and I have a feeling you will be in a much different place (geographically and emotionally) by this time next year. Keep us all posted!

Ok people...it is 4 am where I am....I don't know what got into me this evening. I must have temporary insomnia. HELP!!

Not a good idea, unless you want to end up like Amoco!

sleep help

I am seriously thinking about the warm milk idea....

What's odd is that I'm actually tired, but also feeling wired. ICK.

Oh well, I will probably pass out at the computer in the next five minutes...it's times like this when I can understand why some people need sleeping pills.

Try a hot bath and some lavender.

Thanks Carrie, I'm hoping by April, I can look back at all of this and laugh! And hopefully I'll be extremely happy with where I'll end up attending!!

:)

P.S. From what I learned from my psych class...insomnia can be cured by never doing anything in your bed except for sleeping, as that will signal to your brain that your bed is for snoozing off only. Also, getout of your bed immediately when you find out you can't sleep, do something relaxing (read a book, watch TV, listen to some radio while reading mags, etc.) until you feel sleepy. Then, get into your bed and sleep! It seems to work for me. Also excercise helps me as long as it's not too close to bed time. And milk helps...it secretes chemicals that promote good sleep. Whoa, what a mouthful, lol! Sorry! :)

tridelta4ever 01-12-2002 12:13 AM

That is actually a GREAT idea that I will try in 5 minutes! Thanks so much!!! Surprisingly, I have some kind of lavender aromatherapy kit I just got for Xmas! YEAH!

Don't worry, you were right. Its NOT that good of a school. Lots of people buy there way in. A wasted 30K/year in my opinion, at least for undergrad. Sooo glad I left there :)

Vent codicil

To my friend's repulsive, controlling, fucktard ex-boyfriend: LEAVE HER ALONE. Don't call, don't email, and stay away from her house. Why don't you take some time to take care of your CURRENT girlfriend/ho, and you might want to sit in on a DARE class at the local jr. high so you can realize that when the ho and her friend come out of the bathroom giggling their heads off, IT PROBABLY ISN'T BECAUSE THEY WERE DOING ORIGAMI WITH THE TOILET PAPER. THEY'RE DOING COKE YOU DAMN IDIOT!

Once again, stay away from my sister, or I will cut off your male organs, run them through a food processor, and feed them to the leopards at the zoo.

***Whew*** that feels better. Too bad I don't have his email address, or I would send this to him. Really.

I was hoping that they had a guestbook that was open to the public so we could write and read our comments and bad poetry there. I guess GC will have to do. I'm afraid that I have tapped into my vicious side, and I don't even know these people. Where will it stop? I might wind up telling some of the people in my life what I really think of them. No, I better not!

Boy, I feel so badly for some of you guys. I really feel awful when I read about parents, because I know I am guilty of some of those things. The silver lining is hearing it (uncensored) from y'all and being able to relate your feelings to things I may have done or may be doing to my own. Just know, we try to keep our kids from making the mistakes we made. Truth is, the only way to grow is to be allowed to make your own mistakes.

I hope I'm more like amycat's Mom...yes I GET ON THEIR NERVES, but they know I love them and support them...

lovelyivy and Newbie- heartfelt posts...

Justamom,

Yep.

Being a parent is the easiest/hardest, most fullfilling/most gutwrenching, happiest/saddest, brightest/darkest, most enlightening/most befuddeling, best/worst, most rewarding/most downcasting thing/job I've ever had/done.

It's may be as hard as being young. Or reading that sentence.
