Personally, I'm still waiting for my favorite author's new book to come out! Please Hurry! I'm bored with nothing to read!
I'll probably get this one, but not for more than 10-15 bucks because that is my book budget limit right now. |

*Gasp* I'm going to assume you both go to the Library and check them out. and :D. I'm anxious. Patience was never my strength, but I'm working on it. On a book (side) note... I have this really great book that I am almost finished with (have like 30 pages left) and I have avoided reading it. I dont want to finish because it is such a great story that I hate that it has to end. Its even worse because its non-fiction so I know that the stories of these people have continued I just dont know the rest of it and there is no book that I can read that will tell me the rest of it. Whats even worse is that I get bits and peices of how the story has continued, but not the whole thing on a regular basis. Memoirs of A Boy Soldier is Awesome! (end book side note) |

That's what I'm saying...please after so much time don't let it disappoint |
Undecided
I have not posted on here in sooooo long. How are all my Sorors and sisterfriends?
Anyways..... So I bought the book the other day (30% off at Borders). I don't really know how I feel about it. Don't get me wrong I did like the book, it was a good read. I think I just expected more being that it was a follow up/beginning of Coldest Winter Ever. The book was over 400+ pages and I kept reading thinking when is it going to get juicy. Plus I hated the ending. It was to long to keep me guessing. Just to let eveyone know there will be a sequel to the book. |
This book was not a sequel and shouldn't have been marketed as one. It was a good book, but a huge disappointment because fans have been awaiting and expecting a sequel for NINE YEARS. I hated the ending as well. Really really hated it. Also the constant attacks and stereotypes were a little much, but weren't too surprising coming from Souljah who (though I love her story-telling style) tends to be pretty one-dimensional for someone who regards herself as such a deep thinker.

I was eager to read the book and grabbed it when I saw it at the library. Overall, it was a good read but I was VERY disappointed. I would have been more disappointed had I actually spent money on it. I kept wondering when was I going to get to the part about him working for Winter's daddy. And I really didn't like the ending.

Hmmm i was thinking about getting the book the night that she was coming for her book signing.... but it was cancelled :( ill still get the book, she is a great storyteller nevertheless
