I don't think that has to do with education at all. I think that has to do with people being big jerk doody heads. Because obviously, anyone who thinks they are "better" than their partner because of their level of schooling may be more educated, but most assuredly they are not more intelligent.

That's a bit of a generalization; it depends on the maturity of the people involved and how respectful they are of their partners. If they have respect and are mature, then they won't hold a higher degree over someone's head in a relationship. I can think of quite a few couples where one has more education, and it's not an issue.
