im sure this is intentional and kinda meant to prove a point (1. go to your own bank to take money out and 2. have enough money that you can afford to withdraw more than $10 at a time) but it sucks for the poor folk. |
I checked my account earlier this week and found that I had 20.88 to my name...which means that I had spent over 100.00 in a week on God knows what. Good thing I checked because it'll cost me 20.00 round trip to see my boyfriend this weekend. Hopefully my direct deposit will go through, and I don't have to wait until Monday to get paid from my semi-crummy job.

I am sick of having no money. Hubs is working at not Hours and not enough pay. I have been searching and applying like crazy, but am still unemployed... savings is getting SCARRRYYY LOW... My whole life is on hold because we have NO MONEY. Thank goodness we have enough for bills... but how long can it last ?! :(

I'm sorry, but this made me laugh really hard. |
I've lost total control of our checking account. Our new computer is in the shop, and won't be done for a while. Somehow I tripped over the dog and spilled water into the new one (the one that replaced the laptop that the hubs spilled coffee into) and now my iphone has gotten stolen at work, right off my desk. I do all of my banking on the computer and I came really close to overdrafting! I've been working 3 weeks, and *hopefully* will get my first paycheck of the tax season tomorrow... and it still won't cover everything.

I am deceptively poor, because although I have plenty of money in my account, it is ALL from student loans. I can barely stand to buy groceries, because I immediately start calculating the god-awful interest that I will pay on it in the long run. It's bad enough that my tuition alone is going to rack up ~140K in debt, forget living expenses. I HATE having to depend solely on loans!

Here's a cheap recipe for the financially disadvantaged:
Elbow macaroni 1 can Tomato soup (condensed) Bacon Cook the bacon and the noodles then stir it all together! We already had frozen bacon, but my sis and I bought macaroni and soup for $2.70. Yippee! Make sure you don't use too many noodles or it won't be flavorful enough. |

I've started throwing all kinds of stuff in the pot with the rice. My chicken and rice dinners only use one pot. Makes clean up easy peasy :D |
Yep, I've definitly made fried rice for my past three dinners lol!

i just made a chicken-and-rice in a pot combo last night. i bought some drumsticks, boiled it in some water with bouillon cubes, poured a package of yellow rice and an old can of string beans (yes, that last can in everyone's cupboard for when times get rough, just in case) and let it simmer.
i lucked out because i found a couple potatoes in the crisper drawer. dont know how long ive had them, but it tasted great with everything else. its lasted me 3 meals. ill probably finish off the pot by friday. it couldve been 6 meals - i need to learn portion control. |
