R. kelly's New Song

Instead of singing "Heaven I Need a Hug", he NEEDS to be singing, "I need JESUS!"

HOW DARE he say in the sonfg...women stop depending on men when you very openly handed this young CHILD money before you began to degrade her little underdeveloped body!!!!!!!!!!!!!...................Stop coming out with these big sympathy songs with these long run-on sentences about what you feel. WAKE UP! Honestly, the media did not have sex with a minor, your brothers and sister did not make you urinate on her, your "crew" did not adjust the video camera before the encounter, the industry did not have that little girl walking around dancing and urinating on the floor for your pleasure. REALLY! How long will we tolerate deviant behavior and pass it off as entertainment???????????? (Queer as Folk UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Well said. What is even more insulting is the many women who call the radio station with their total, complete and unwavering support of R. Kelly. Many not seeing anything wrong with what he is accused of or what has happened as a result. My heart goes out to him but not in a way of supporting and uplifting him in his wrong doing. Accountability is paramount. There are consequences for your actions and children are never, ever to be abused. He virtually scouted young girls from his former high school. Shucks my sister attended that school. That could have been her or any of her friends.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't heard one iota of support for the young girls that were misused. They need a hug! They need support. They need a voice. Outside of one columnist who writes for the SunTimes no one is standing up to support them. Radio stations need to let them know that what happened to them was abuse. Plan and simple.

It is sickening, and disgraceful.

Can you believe this isht!!!!! 2 months jail time? Unbelievable!

Kelly Admits His Guilty but Still Wages on
CHICAGO, IL

World Famous R&B singer Robert Kelly, known to the world as "R.Kelly" has confessed as being the man on the infamous videotape performing sexual acts on a minor.

In a eleventh hour confession, R. Kelly confessed his guilt of statutory rape on a female that was believe to be under the age of legal consent within the state of Illinois. "I'm man enough and strong enough to say I did it and I'm not scare whether society accepts me or hurls me into purgatory," said Kelly.

Kelly's lawyers are in negotiations with Cook County prosecutors to cut a no contest plea deal that would register Kelly as a sex offender in the State of Illinois, an unprecedented $500,000 fine, 2 months jail time, and 5 years probation. Also, Kelly would have to release an album for the City of Chicago. Cook County prosecutors would not comment on a deal or negotiations.
Kelly said the infamous sex tape was "something personal" that "got into the wrong hands." "I mean, everyone has their own personal flick tape." Kelly is vehement that this will not stop him or his career. "I did what I did. Who can judge whether I'm right or wrong. This will not stop me from expressing myself through song or within my life. People have always judged me. I don't give a f*ck. R. will always be R These are the demons I have to face, but I will not let the world ruin my name because I like to get 'freaky.' "

The release of the City of Chicago album is not known at this time. Kelly's current recording label, Jive, Department of Public Relations released this statement saying, "We're willing to work with Robert and the city of Chicago at all costs to get this whole ordeal settled, as long as we get our cut."

Well, well, well...his lawyers FINALLY gave him some GOOD advice. I'm also in awe of this 2 months jail time, $500,000.00, 5-year probation thing. Now, I'm all for him being placed on Illinois' central registry for sex offenders. But look y'all, he's ALREADY talking junk. What does he mean when he says that he's not "...scared if society accepts him or hurls (him) into purgatory"? What is he trying to prove when he says "People have always judged me. I don't give a f*ck. R. will always be R."? What's up with the attitude R. Kelly? Don't get mad at society because you got caught in your mess. Don't get mad because you had to go back and RECANT all of the LIES that you've told. NOW he's saying that he's "only a man" and he "won't let the world ruin (his) name because (he) likes to get "freaky".  So what was the purpose for this LAST-MINUTE-FEEL-SORRY-FOR-ME-BECAUSE-THAT'S-NOT-ME-ON-THAT-TAPE-PEOPLE-ARE-TRYING-TO-RUIN-ME-I'M-INNOCENT song? This is NOT about anyone trying to RUIN him or even about him getting "FREAKY". This is about a 30-something year-old man who likes to VIDEO TAPE himself having sex with MINORS!!!!!!! WAKE UP, R. KELLY!!!! WAKE UP!!!! I just can't STAND his arrogant, narcissistic attitude. What makes me upset with him is that he shows NO type of remorse or shame. He has YET to show ANY humility or conviction. NONE whatsoever. Even after CONFESSING, he CONTINUES to blame OTHERS. I just can't see myself supporting ANYTHING that he does from now on. I'm willing to bet that if this "slap-on-the-wrist" deal goes through, ole' Rev. Meeks can forget about seeing R. for a while.

Soror, I am not questioning your source but this article sounds "fictional." It sounds like something made up. The wording is off and I just cannot believe his record company would say that about getting their cut. This sounds worse than the Enquirer.

Plus the sentencing is totally unbelievable in consideration of the number of counts he has against him.

soror ct4 and i are basically thinking the same thing. does anyone know who printed this article? when i read it, i originally thought it was a belated april fool's joke.

if this article is legit and that deal has been made, this is serious injustice. not only should the jail time be the maximum allowed, it doesn't mention anything about mandatory counseling. hello.... he needs help. his "desires" aren't just going to fall by the wayside. paying half a mil fine is a drop in the bucket to him.

R. Kelly Pleads Innocent in Porn Case
Wed Jun 26,11:44 AM ET
By MELANIE COFFEE, Associated Press Writer

CHICAGO (AP) - R&B star R. Kelly, accused of videotaping sex acts with a 13-year-old girl, pleaded innocent to 21 counts of child pornography on Wednesday.

Kelly, whose first name is Robert, made no statement at his arraignment. "I can't talk right now," he told The Associated Press while on his way out of the courtroom.

But he smiled and waved to fans who lined the corridor of the Cook County Courthouse, many of whom wore T-shirts reading "R. Kelly We Luv You."

One of his attorneys, Sam Adam, told reporters the Grammy-winning singer is innocent.

"I haven't seen the tape but I know the FBI ( news - web sites) has been wrong 100 times in the last year," Adam said.

Kelly, 35, who has been dogged by allegations of sexual misconduct in civil lawsuits, was indicted by a Cook County grand jury June 5.

Cook County State's Attorney Richard Devine has said the video was made in November 1997 or later and that the girl was born in September 1984.

If convicted, Kelly, who lives in the Chicago suburb Olympia Fields, could be sentenced to 15 years in prison and fined $100,000.

The singer has denied he is the man on the tape, while defense attorney Edward Genson has said that the woman on the tape was not younger than 18 at the time the video was made. According to a law enforcement source, the parents of the girl claim it's not their daughter in the video.

Kelly's arrest followed an investigation in which about 50 witnesses were interviewed before determining the tape showed Kelly and an underage girl, according to Chicago police and Cook County prosecutors. FBI forensics experts analyzed the tape and concluded it was authentic, they said.

Kelly has been sued at least four times; three of the lawsuits involved allegations of underage sex. He has acknowledged settling two of those lawsuits, but his lawyers have said they will fight the third. The fourth was filed by a woman who claims he taped their sexual encounters without her knowledge.

The singer is known for hits ranging from the Grammy-winning inspirational anthem "I Believe I Can Fly" to sexually charged songs such as "Bump 'n' Grind," "Feelin' on Yo Booty" and "Your Body's Callin.'"

A week ago, R. Kelly released a new song to Chicago radio station WGCI-FM. In the song, "Heaven, I Need A Hug," he knocks his detractors and says he hopes to regain his fans' support.

Lawd have Mercy. . . :o:(

I just don't know WHAT to say anymore. I guess that LAWD HAVE MERCY would be enough, right Soror CT4? If these new tapes reveal anything, then I'm wondering who R. Kelly is going to blame THIS time? I DO know ONE thing though. He's going to have a h*ll of a time EXPLAINING all of this mess (especially if the new tapes reveal anything) to a JURY. Hey, if I were R. Kelly, at THIS point, I would tell my lawyers that I want to take a plea bargain. What do you guys think?

Well in order for him to take a plea bargain, the state would have to offer one. And the DA seems AWFULLY confident in their case. I am not even sure that they will offer him one. I think they are gonna try to send him up the river...you know, that one poeple get sent to without no paddle...;) :D

They are not playing when it comes to this case, b/c as we all know, no one likes a child molester...It appears as if the DA has enough evidence to convict Kelly (they said they had been watching him for a while; the fact that they said they had seen some of what was on the newly found tapes supports this)...He will definately NOT get a deal--they are going to make an example out of him...
