Love your posts-
Good for you for sticking with it. The 0.4 lbs was probably gone while you were enroute!!!
Enjoy yourself and have a great week!

^^ Thanks! Writing about my progress makes me feel accountable, so I hope to update once week. Apologies, GreekChat, for also serving as my weight loss journal, lol

No need for apologies. You guys are providing me with another method of accountability as well.

Only down .06 lbs this week - I'm shocked I even lost that much. Went out on a bender over Super Bowl weekend (alcohol KILLS points) and I exhausted pretty much all of my flex points. I have barely dipped into them since I started in January. Felt kinda disappointed in myself, but a loss is a loss!

Finally did my weigh in this morning--down 1.4 more lbs since last Sunday! Woo hoo! 9.2 lbs to go til I reach my goal.

Next week will also be a challenge. My fiance will be in town all week--I imagine we will go out to dinner more than once.

Hi Lovespink:

Congratulations! Way to go- exciting news!

I've been living WW for years- here are my suggestions for next week-

Plan ahead for restaurant dining and otherwise, review menus- choose in advance; consider an appetizer and a salad instead of a whole dinner. Think like the French- something decadent but small!!!!!

If you want an alcoholic beverage with dinner, drink a whole glass of water before drinking or even ordering the beverage! If I want a second alcoholic beverage, I have the same rule- another glass of water before the alcohol. (Maybe you'll earn some activity points for running back and forth to the rest room!!!)

Snacks- instead of the pre-packaged snacks, think PROTEIN: Have a delicious cube of cheese (for example) and the freshest most attractive apple - or other piece of fruit- that you can find and drink a big glass of water with that!

Enjoy your time with your fiance and keep up the great work!!!!!

Another tip for going out to dinner.. ask them to bring you half of it in a "to go" box. Most of the time, you sit there nibbling when you're not hungry any more. If it is already in a box, that doesn't happen.

^^ Thanks for the great tips!

Weigh in today...lost 0.6 this week! 6.4lbs in 3 weeks overall.

May not seem significant but I'm happy with it. I knew it was going to start leveling out..and also I did bad on Friday and not so good on Saturday, so I'm shocked there was any type of loss. Besides, this means I have 8.6 lbs to go until the wedding... in June! So a half pound a week would be fine with me!

How's everyone else doing?

BraveMaroon 02-19-2012 09:29 PM

I am having a tough run of it. I have finally finished a string of five work trips in the first six weeks of the year, and I think that it's going to be a great weigh in this week. Finally.

etadrisophila 02-20-2012 07:05 AM

Great news lovespink and BraveMaroon. I am a LT member and slowly slipping upward over the past couple of weeks. Intense days at work and intense ??emotional hunger. I need to heed my own advice and drink more water - and stop reaching for food when I probably need to go exercise.
Have a great week everyone.

I'm very nervous about the weigh in this morning. This past week--well, let's just say the point counting went out the window. Fiance was here and we were running around like crazy people working on all sorts of wedding things (which was super fun!!) so it was hard to focus.

For the most part, I was still very mindful of snacking and portion sizes, but it still makes me extremely nervous just because I wasn't as good as I could have been. On the plus side, I was great about working out this past week. My fiance is what I call a work out addict, lol He has to go to the gym at least 6 days a week...so needless to say coming home for a visit wasn't going to stop the work outs. Luckily, we were able to use visitor passes for him at my gym we we went together!

Alright, I should stop putting this off and see what the scale says...

ETA: WOO HOO! Actually somehow lost weight! I lost another 0.6 lbs this past week. My total weight since I started 1 month ago is 7 lbs! Only 8 to go!

etadrisophila 02-28-2012 03:58 PM

lovespink88:
Congratulations! You're almost 1/2 way there. I'm guessing you are noticing some changes in how your clothes fit and in your energy level. Best wishes for a wonderful week.

lovespink88 02-28-2012 10:07 PM

Thanks! To be honest, I haven't felt a change in energy level, but I think that's because I was my energy levels were already pretty good. I'm noticing the looser clothing though!

lovespink88 03-04-2012 02:16 PM

HALF WAY MARK!

Lost another 0.6 this week, for a total weight loss of 7.6 pounds. 7.4 to go!

ETA: I've been rethinking my goal weight, this past week. I mean, I started at 139 lbs (I'm 5'6'') so I wasn't even at an "unhealthy" weight for my height. I wanted to lose 15 lbs for the wedding, but I'm pretty much happy with how I'm looking now. I DEFINITELY still need to tone up in the arms and a bit in the legs, but that's something that can be achieved through exercise and now Weight Watchers. I think I'll still stick to the program for now, but as long as I can maintain under 130 (so 1.4 lbs to go) I'll be happy.

lovespink88 03-11-2012 11:46 AM

I only tracked from Sunday through Thursday this past week and during those days I used LOTS of flexpoints, not leaving much for the weekend. When I got to Friday and saw I definitely didn't have enough flexpoints to get me through the weekend, I decided to chalk this up as a bad week and didn't even count on Friday or Saturday. So imagine my surprise when I saw I lost another 1.6 this morning!

This further supports my recent theory that 26 points they gave me is definitely not enough for me. I mean, I know you're not supposed to have a lot of points, that's how you lose weight! lol But how could I have lost 1.6 lbs when I definitely used all points and flexpoints in a week?

I'm going to try to "maintain" (+6 points/day) starting this week...for a few reasons:

1) My new weight looks good on me, maybe I don't need to lose the final 6 that I originally had in mind? I mean last time I was less than this, I was a freshman in high school, lol!

2) I admit, I WANT FOOD. I mean, for someone who is starting week 7, I'm finding that there are just too many days where I'm feeling absolutely starving by trying to stick to 26 points. That doesn't seem right to me.

Well, I'll report back next week and see how week 1 of maintaining goes!

DreamfulSpirit 03-11-2012 12:16 PM

I started Weight Watchers back at the end of August. Since then, as of this morning, I've lost 42 pounds! My daily points just changed to 26, and 27 was hard enough!!
